Due to the nanoceramics dispersed within the nanocellulose, Searamic™ resists fire without the usage of brominated or halogenated compounds. When fire is applied to it, Searamic™ produces a charlayer that removes the oxygen molecule from the flame, essentially suffocating the fire, which allows the Searamic to self-extinguish rather than combust.
Searamic™ effectively reflects UVA & UVB without the usage of UV blockers allowing textiles to remain protected from harmful UV without affecting breathability.
